Is Google Making Us Stupid
It seemed more like the author was talking about how his
style has changed. He also talks about some other people and how their styles
have changed because of the clock and the type writer. Carr is basically saying
that things for everyone are changing and is this change for the good or for
the bad.
I am not sure that Google is making any one stupid however I
could be wrong. To me it seems that times are changing and the way people learn
to day is way different then the way people used to learn. Now if you break it down to its basics people
have the unique ability to learn many things weather they stick with what their
education has given them or if they find that there is a faster way to learn
and move on to new ground is the question. People will tend to go for the easy
way over the hard way because it is easier and that means they can do more
things in a day. For me I find that a combination of the internet and some old
fashioned research is the key to anything good these days because the internet
can get you the information you want but it also might give you a bunch of
thing you do not want. So you skim through the information that you have been
given then you step back and start the longer more grueling part after you
found the information that you need. This longer part is going through this
information and breaking it down to the best way to input it into your head and
then proses it out into an essay or whatever it is that you need it for.
